What's Your #ClimateThing?

What's a #ClimateThing? It's that specific bird, person, landscape, or idea that prompts you to take action against climate change. For many of us associated with Audubon, #ClimateThings are our favorite birds that we might lose due to a changing climate. Or, perhaps, it is a family member, the beach, or glacial landscapes.

Last autumn, we released our Birds and Climate Change Report, detailing that nearly half of North American birds are at risk from climate change. And while that's scary, there is hope! Inspired by their #ClimateThing, people are taking individual actions that collectively add up to big impacts for our birds and our communities.

We want to know what inspires you
to take action to combat climate change!

Join us today and the next three Thursdays in Millennium Park to share your #ClimateThing with us! We've partnered with The Art Institute of Chicago and the Lurie Garden to showcase four spokes-birds and how they will be impacted by changes in our local climate. Each week, local artist Jorge Felix will invite park visitors to contribute their #ClimateThings to a particpatory artwork. These collective pieces represent how individual actions can create a big impact and a beautiful future for local birds.

Please stop by and add your #ClimateThing to the picture!
