Allison Clark is the Center Operations Manager at Grange Insurance Audubon Center and is responsible for daily operations and developing and implementing best practices for visitor experience, volunteer engagement and organizational magagment that support the centers mission. Allison came to Grange Insurance Audubon Center in early 2010 as a part-time educator overseeing scout programs and birthday parties before moving into a full-time educator additionally teaching for the center’s Conservation Classroom partnership with Columbus City Schools. In 2013, she began the role of Education Program Manager and Volunteer Coordinator overseeing all of the center’s education programs and working closely with the center’s volunteers. In the summer, Allison serves as camp director for Audubon Adventure Camp. Before working at the center, Allison taught formally for five years in Columbus City Schools working with children with behavioral and emotional disorders before staying home to raise her two sons for 9 ½ years. Allison is passionate about working with children and having the opportunity to share the natural world with them. She knows first-hand the importance of expanding the classroom beyond four walls and the positive difference connecting children with nature can make both academically and emotionally.
