Uncover the story of the Black Tern: a bird whose future depends on bold restoration, science-driven action, and our collective will to protect Michigan’s wetlands before it’s too late.
Graceful, elusive and cloaked in striking black and silver plumage, the Black Tern is one of Michigan’s most captivating wetland birds. Once a common sight across the Great Lakes region, this aerial acrobat has experienced significant population declines in recent decades and is now vanishing from our marshes at an alarming rate.
What’s driving their decline? And what can we do to bring them back?
Join Audubon Great Lakes and partners for a special webinar to learn about the current status of this charismatic marsh bird and how we can help enhance habitats that Black Terns depend on.
