At Columbus Birds and Brews you’ll hear from local conservation and policy experts on the opportunities that we have in the coming year to protect Ohio birds and communities—all while enjoying a complimentary drink on us!

Climate change is an urgent threat to birds and the deployment of responsibly sited renewable energy is critical to achieving a future where both people and wildlife thrive. Join Audubon Great Lakes and Columbus Audubon for a forum at Grange Insurance Audubon Center to hear from a panel of experts on the challenges facing Ohio’s energy landscape—including Ohio’s growing energy demand—and the solutions that can make a difference for vulnerable Ohio species like the Bobolink.

You’ll also learn about current state energy policies, Audubon’s on-the-ground conservation work, and member engagement opportunities that help to ensure that renewable energy projects are responsibly sited. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how we can work together to change the trajectory for Ohio birds.

The event will be moderated by Marnie Urso, Senior Policy Director for Audubon Great Lakes. Panelists will include:

  • Shayna Fritz, Executive Director, Ohio Conservative Energy Forum
  • Nat Miller, Senior Director, Wings Over Working Lands, National Audubon Society
  • Katie Devlin, Director of Climate Justice Initiatives, Direct Community Action
  • Roger Sikes, Policy and Advocacy Campaigner, Solar United Neighbors (SUN)

Space is limited. RSVP today to save your spot.

Attendees must be 21+ to receive an alcoholic beverage ticket. Attendees under 21 are welcome and will be given a non-alcoholic drink ticket.
